The Drassanes Reials a singular space, home of the Museu Marítim de Barcelona are a first-class architectural ensemble located in the historic center of Barcelona and one of the most representative buildings in the history and maritime culture of the city. The Drassanas (or Atarazanas) were built as an arsenal of galleys, that is, as space for shipbuilding, repair and maintenance of galleys.
