The avant-garde building, the work of the 2013 Pritzker Prize winner, the Japanese architect Toyo Ito, is the largest convention center in Barcelona in terms of the number of conference rooms (around 70) and in terms ofexhibition area (24,500m2) . All this on just two floors and strategically located between the city center and the airport. It also has the largest wired and wi-fi infrastructure (20Gbps), awarded by the World Broadband Alliance for the most innovative network. The CCGV is surrounded by the most sophisticated hotel offer in Barcelona and is perfectly connected by public transport, just four stops from the center (L9 Fira).

The headquarters is integrated into the Gran Via complex, which has its own 5,000 parking spaces and two helipads. The design of the venue is highly committed with the environment. Various natural energy sources have been used with the aim of maximizing sustainability and reducing environmental impact. As the maximum exponent of this trend, the site has one of the largest photovoltaic plants in the state (165,000m2), which avoids an annual emission of 2,047 tons of CO2 and generates enough energy for 980 homes for 4 people.
