Vila Viniteca organises the largest wine-tasting contest

Not only the giants of the market can successfully organise international events: Vila Viniteca has shown that good ideas and an efficient organisation can get very far. Its tasting contest, which this month reached its third edition, has become the wine tasting tournament on the international scene.
The challenge for the 117 registered teams is to decipher the country, region, grape variety, vintage, wine cellar … of wines, champagne, etc., submitted to them. The award is 15,000 euros and a trip to the Champagne region of France and Austria. The event will take place on March 21st at the Llotja de Mar in Barcelona.
From its origins as a small neighborhood shop in 1932, the Barcelona Vila Viniteca has carved a niche as one of the best vinotecas the country, which also offers courses and presentations for wine lovers.
