2005 will be a “good but not exceptional” year for the Spanish tourism sector, according to the opinion of the President of the World Tourism Organisation, Francesco Frangialli, in an interview given to EFE. “The weakness of growth in Europe, and especially in Germany, is an influential element for the perspectives of Spanish tourism”, says Frangialli. “Taking into account that Germany provides the larger number of tourists in Spain and considering the behaviour of European tourism last year, we can conclude that 2005 will be a good year, though not exceptional”, according to the president.
