The report outlines how the two most expensive cities in Spain, Barcelona and Madrid had a marked decrease of -24% and -13.44% respectively, in the occupancy of hotels 4 *. The price decline is more dramatic in the city of Puerto la Cruz (Canary Islands), with a -36.16% and -31% with Granada. In contrast, the five-star hotels and deluxe seem immune to the crisis, with price stability and even experiencing a rise in volume of reservations.
