The Grandvalira Campbase holds the Spain Downhill Race in MTB Open

A week after opening, the Grandvalira Campbase in Andorra will hold the Spain Open in Downhill Race in MTB, specifically in the freeride Avet track, located in the Soldeu sector. The participants will be all the federated bikers in this sport, as relevant professionals of the moment.
The Avet black track is 2,500 metres long and has a 450 metre unevenness. Designed by the dowwnhill race champion óscar Saiz, the track has very technical areas, with different uneven points and curves.
The participants will do two timed races with exits every 30 seconds. There will be 6 male categories (cadet, junior, elite, senior, master and veterans) as a female category (female elite) and 1,300 prizes will be handed out in total.
Parallel, 2 more sectors of the Grandvalira Campbase are already open, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa. In these areas there are more cross-country on mountainbike itineraries that link with the rest of the domain, and more trekking paths. Thera are also more leisure activities as fishing and an area for children (Grau Roig) as the acrojump in Pas de la Casa.
