The Gijón Congress Office obtains the SICTED award

The Gijón Congress Office received on May 31st, the Integral System of Tourist Quality in Destination, SICTED, together with other 143 local companies.
This certificate shows the great effort the Office has made to offer all their clients better attention, and guarantees a good service to all those professionals that require of their services.
This program, that has been financed by the General Secretary of Commerce and Tourism and coordinated by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, FEMP, has implanted in the Congress Office an homologated normative in the whole of the national territory which is a recognition in itself, and a trademark that differentiates the Gijón Office from the rest of the entities.
The Congress Office starts in 1995 as a department within the Sociedad Mixta de Turismo and in 2001 the Business Club is created with more than 70 members whose activity revolves around congresses and all types of events. The Gijón Congress Office is also part of the Spain Convention Bureau.
