Culinary Spain is the first agency that offers gastronomy routes and gourmet activities in Spain.

According to the Director of the agency, Mireia Alum, gastronomy tourism has a lot of demand in Italy and France, countries where the offer is totally structured, while in Spain, it is still the first time a company organises this type of activities.

Its portal, www.culinaryspain.com, belonging to the business group Global Purchase, is only available in English as its clientele is for foreigners aboard, even though the agency is open to any public as this type of exclusive tourism attracts, above all, visitors from other countries. In the first months of operation, the gastronomy routes and its activities in Spain have been demanded by Americans, Australians and Germans. However, it also offers activities such as cooking classes or tasting, which is getting popular by companies for team building.

This agency has worked for more than a year organising these routes, offering itineraries of one or eight days, by prices estimated around 190 and 2,755 euros. The routes are designed to discover, learn and taste the large variety of regional Spanish cooking and its traditions as the new culinary trends of the main chefs in Spanish cuisine. It also gives the possibility to organise trips with gastronomy parties.
