OPC Catalunya celebrated its twentieth anniversary, last 28th February, in a dinner with professionals from the meeting industry, which had an economic impact for Spain of more than 3.250 million Euros in 2005, according to Spain Convention Bureau (SCB). Catalonia contributed 61.5% of this volume.

The association has approximately 50 associated companies from diverse professional areas. The World Travel & Tourism Council forecasts that the meeting tourism will increase 59% in Spain, 25% in Europe and 50% in the rest of the world during the period 2004-2014, implying an economic impact superior to 3 billion Euros in Catalonia, according to OPC Catalunya.
