Since its opening in April 2004, the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) has hosted close to two million visitors through owned and different events held in the centre, such as Gastech, International Congress and Exhibition of Gas Natural Industries, ITL, Intermodal Transport & Logistics, and the Congress for Business Internationalisation, among others. The centre has hosted over 70 activities with the participation of over 6,870 exhibiting companies.

The BEC has recently opened a new area, BEC Convenciones, with 5,500sqm of exhibition floor space distributed in three areas, with rooms for different capacities (from 20 to 2,500 people) for congresses, symposiums and meetings.
