The agency of conception and production of events, Macguffin , produced on the 19th of January a presentation that according to more than 90 international communication media accredited to the event, as the most original hotel in the world and converted as the new reference in Madrid, a piece of work that has bring together for the first time in history, eighteen of the best architects and designers of the world to participate in the press conference, and to explain their personal vision of the project to create a space that will serve as an inspiration source for imagination and the senses of the visitors.
Different institutional and business personalities were present in this public presentation, the Mayor of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz Gallardon, who activated the mechanism that revealed the facade of the hotel, a work by Jean Nouvel produced in multicoloured tones and with the letters of the poem “Freedom†by Paul Eluard, in different languages.
According to Gallardón, if a hotel is always optimised to reflect the pulse of a city, Madrid is converted into “the capital of the architecture world†and in “avant garde expressions†in which, each of the architect “preserves its individualityâ€Â.
The event was produced by the team in Macguffin in a record time of 48h, on some of the elements and a hostile media and with difficulty to transport the work of such a large magnitude still in its construction phase, and to convert the open room and annex into an elegant exhibition space, conference and cocktail where the personalities deemed the design as fundamental.
The lighting of the event, according to the design of a team of the prestigious interior designers, Arnold Chand, is made up by elements that reflect the style and vision of each of the creators present. For that, 250kw of electricity was used as well as more than 500 lights were distributed in the entire venue.
The scenario and ambience of the venue was developed based on the design of the staging team of Macguffin, reflecting a warm and comfortable ambience where the design and the conceptual esthetics come from the hotel without concealing the construction in its current process, all dominated by a large wall of the designer Mariscal.
The exhibition of each of the project of the architects of the hotel was presented on the doors that symbolise the doors of each world designed to open to the visitors.
