Located next to the Palau de Fires, the Auditori-Palau de Congressos of Girona will open in March 2006, with a two-year delay from the previewed date.
The architect in charge, Joan Tarrús, explained that the structure of the Auditori-Palau de Congressos will be ready by the end of October. After which, the furniture, staging and sound equipment will be installed. The building has three rooms for 1248, 400 and 190 persons, and other smaller ones.
The new space will enable the holding of large congresses, that up to now have been reduced to a maximum of 400 people, a fact that can positively alter the cityâ
