Eastern Europe's leading regional meetings fair in Ljubljana, Slovenia, ends today with a number of activities, including a redesigned and revamped Experience Zone for events and the Conventa Trend Bar educational platform. This year's line-up included 100 exhibitors from the region and beyond, and 160 guest buyers who shared the sustainability programme, a key feature of this annual event.

The implementation and dissemination of sustainability at meetings is at the core of Conventa, in initiatives such as the use of locally sourced Slovenian wood in all the event’s stands, a tradition that is maintained in all its editions. This allows it to minimise its carbon footprint and support local communities.

This year, it has also launched Planet Positive Event, a project aimed at evolving the way events measure their environmental impact and perceive sustainability.

The organisers also encourage sustainability by inviting attendees to bring their bottles, which are then recycled. In addition, the event features a gastronomic offer with a predominantly vegetarian diet, showcasing local and sustainable cuisine.
