Survey reports b-to-b marketing budgets will increase in 2007

Marketing budgets at b-to-b companies are expected rise in 2007, according to the 2007 Marketing Priorities and Plans Survey conducted by BtoB Magazine to more than 500 marketing executives in November 2006.
The survey found that 44,1% of marketers plan to increase their spending on direct marketing, but the biggest gains are expected in online marketing, with 75,6% of marketers planning to boost their online marketing budgets.
The survey also found that 62,7% of marketers plan to increase budgets in 2007, 29,4% plan to keep budgets flat, and only 8% are expecting budget cuts. B-to-b marketers’ top goal for 2007 will be customer acquisition (62.3%), followed by brand awareness (19.5%) and customer retention (11%), according to the survey.
