We already know that the event ROI is one of the major worries of the professionals of our sector (listed as first worry in the eventoplus 2007 survey, for example). Now, for the first time in Spain, the ROI Institute (institute who dedicates exclusively on ROI training) will be organising its intensive one-day course in Barcelona (28th January) and Madrid (29th January).

Against a sector that is sometimes sceptical about the possibility of financially measuring its event’s impact, Elling Hamso, who will be giving the course, comments: “To measure the financial impact is difficult and it can be costly, and it is not necessarily necessary. There is already value in measuring if the participants have understood the message, what they have learned, if they have changed their opinion about the brand, if it has changed their behaviour in a way that will generate more sales for the company”.

The seminar will teach the main components of Jack Phillips’s method, the reference in this sector, using thousands of cases every year in the world. Elling Hamso is an associate of the ROI Institute and MPI’s Platinum Speaker.
