Swisscom’s Hospitality Services have launched a new service: Room 2.0TM, the first internet service of this type, according to the company. Through information and communication services based on the web 2.0, the product offers a direct response to the business needs of those who stay at the 2,300 associated hotels.

The new service has been created on the basis of 1,100 client opinions from five different countries, which were grouped in four needs: to keep in touch with their home and office, to explore the city which they have arrived in , to rest and to enjoy the stay, and to prepare the business travel effectively.

Room 2.0TM allow clients to make unlimited long distance calls, access information on places of interest around the hotel, download newspapers from more than 350 publications and listen to different radio stations, and real time flight information.

The service is available in 16 Amsterdam hotels and The Haya. It will be installed progressively in 2.300 hotels associates of Swisscom in Europe and North America.
