Presentation of the Cerdanya Congress Hall

On 29th September, the infrastructure of what will be the new congress hall of the Cerdanya located in Alp was officially presented. It will be the first congress hall in the Girona province.
In the event led by the Mayor of the Alip municipal, Salvador Rigola, present were companies (such as Endesa, Alfa Romeo and La Caixa, among others), the Girona Convention Bureau and other professionals from the event sector.
During these last years, Cerdanya has experienced a strong growth in the area of residential construction, thanks to the wide offer of leisure (the Masella and Molina ski stations, golf courses, horse-riding facilities and adventure sports in a nature environment) and its easy access via the highways. Now, the region is putting its bet on the meeting industry.
The Palacio de Congresos de la Cerdanya will have an auditorium 354 personas, a 1,000sqm multi-purpose exhibition hall, 3 rooms for seminars, 5 meeting rooms and a foyer.
It is forecasted to open in January 2005.
