Among the applications of other cities such as Gdansk in Poland and St. Petersburg in Russia, the ICCA board of director has chosen Prague for the city hosting the annual meeting of the association in 2017.

The capital of the Czech Republic will have the challenge to accommodate both global meetings industry experts and local professionals in order to help in increasing the number of associate members to ICCA in Eastern Europe.

After a nomination process in which the candidate cities presented their proposals to develop the objectives of the association, their approach to facilitate business opportunities and the associated financial and logistical framework that will support the project, Prague has emerged victorious and will join cities like Antalya, Buenos Aires and Kuching (Malaysia), cities hosting the annual ICCA congress in the coming years.
