What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
If one event marked the life of a company, or even of an industry, this is Apple´s presentation in the MacWorld Expo, every year in San Francisco.

The last such presentation came to an end last weekend with senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, Philip Schiller, delivering the opening keynote for this year´s Macworld.
The explanation by the company could worry some in the trade show industry: “Apple is reaching more people in more ways than ever before, so like many companies, trade shows have become a very minor part of how Apple reaches its customers. The increasing popularity of Apple´s Retail Stores, which more than 3.5 million people visit every week, and the Apple.com website enable Apple to directly reach more than a hundred million customers around the world in innovative new ways”. The company has been steadily scaling back on trade shows in recent years, including NAB, Macworld New York, Macworld Tokyo and Apple Expo in Paris.
