This evening, 3 of July at 2000h, is the traditional reception of the Consulate General to commemorate the 230 anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States. Authorities and representatives of the Catalan society and American residents in Catalunya have been invited to the typical 4th of July celebration.
This year, the reception coincides with the last year of office of Juan A. Alsace as Consul General in Barcelona.
From 2100h, the Consul General will give his speech to the guests followed by the national hymn to be sung by American singer, Gwen Perry.
The Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet will provide entertainment during the celebration.
