MPI offers members event-cancellation insurance

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) announced a partnership with JLT Services Corporation as the association’s new insurance broker/administrator.
MPI members in the United States now have access to new event-cancellation insurance, professional liability insurance, business owners’ policies, special event coverage and weather insurance.
“We cannot express the importance of making insurance coverage available to our members, especially to those who may own their own business and do not have access to comprehensive coverage. In light of global security concerns and recent natural disasters, the importance of insurance coverage is reinforced and MPI wants to be sure that it can help its members be prepared for the unexpected”, says said Colin Rorrie, Jr., PhD, CAE, president and CEO of MPI.
Upon further assessment of MPI members’ needs, future offerings could include term life insurance, disability income, long term care, medical/dental/vision insurance, workers compensation, employment practices liability insurance and identity theft, among others.
