The Hotels Monte chain has been awarded by the Seville city council, through the city Energy Agency, the IV Prize of the Seville energy city award, in the “Energy facilities projects” category.
Hotel Monte Malaga has been the first hotel of Spain that incorporates in its architecture, a co-generation centre for energy and bioclimatic elements. It is an immense generator of clean energy that uses a novel system of restoring solar power. The architects and designers have wanted to contribute a more sustainable development to the coastal capital.
The building has been studied in numerous national and international forums, as an example of contribution for a better sustainable development of Malaga.
