M&IT Show in London targets association execs with top-level education projects

The Olympia Grand Hall in London will host the “Meetings & Incentive Travel Show 2004†from 6th to 7th of October.
The show will be dedicating special attention to associations from different tourism sectors. Carole McKella, creator of the virtual community of association leaders called Association Gateway and chairman of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) UK Chapter: “Based on feedback from the association leaders in the community, it is clear that people want time to be able to talk about the challenges they face and to learn from each other’s experiences”.
The International Association Forum will also be staged during The M&IT Show in October, specifically aimed at secretaries general of international and European associations. This event will be staged by Robin Lokerman of The MCI Group – a leading figure in the international association management field and a highly experienced trainer of association personnel – and sponsored by Association Meetings International magazine.
This event will focus such specific problems as international marketing, membership retention in an international market, international VAT reclaim and international legal issues.
International associations will be invited to attend from the UK and from mainland Europe and many will be hosted to stay in London as part of The M&IT Show Hosted Buyer programme organised in cooperation with Visit London.
