MCI Barcelona opens a new PCO and Association Management department

MCI Barcelona has created a PCO and Association Management department to enter into the congress sector and to offer all the services of association management: members management, administration and event organisation through the strategic planning, alliances creation, sourcing of resources, and the development of new products, programs and services.
Currently, Oscar Cerezales, Sales Director of Congresses for MCI Group, and Frank Garcia, Account Manager, who will orientate his activity to the domestic market, will lead the department.
Internationally, MCI has announced its merger with Ovation Group, event agency and DMC in Ireland, created in 1993 and with 50 employees and 15 million Euros of sales. The Ovation activities of conferences and events in Ireland will be named MCI Dublin and MCI Belfast. On the other hand, MCI is considering renaming all its Destination Management’s activity worldwide as Ovation International.
