Marriot launches green events in Europe The hotel chain recently announced the decision to apply a sustainable framework (reduction, reuse and recycle) in all the events taking place in its hotels in Europe. This "aggressive environmental strategy" was a starting point in the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel, in conjunction with IMEX.
In order to reduce the environmental impact of events, all the meetings will include paperless event proposals, contracting and billing, pens made from recycled materials, food of the season, Access to recycling containers in or near meeting room steams with use of energy-efficient audio-visual equipment, etc. Green events for Marriott International began a year ago in the U.S., as part of the environmental agenda with other actions such as the collaboration of the Amazon rainforest in Brasil.
