The report is the result of quantitative research, qualitative and desk research, as well as information provided by more than 50 international trend hunters.

“Many of the trends are the result of the recession, such as increased availability of people to put time and energy into buying decisions, and the leadership of Brazil, India and China,” says Ann Mack. “As in previous reports, technology, and demographic and geopolitical changes have an enormous influence on the trends.” Some of the trends mentioned are:
