The Andorran ski dominion, Grandvalira, presented last 2 November in Madrid the new winter 2006/07 season. The event was presided by Conrad Blanch, CEO of Grandvalira, and highlighted the 11 million euros investment in improving the facilities.

Among the novelties for the coming season are the expansion of two parkings in Grandvalira-El Tarter and in Grandvalira-Pas de la Casa; the increment of the transportation capacity in the ski lifts with the new 6-seater Telesilla Soldeu in Grandvalira-Soldeu; the creation of Grandvalira Tour, a guided itinerary that allow skiing in the 6 areas in Grandvalira; the incorporation of snow rackets and the construction of a client attention centre and sales of adventure activities in Grandvalira-EL Tarter.

The dominion has new restaurants, and opens the Grandvalira ice circuit where a car can be driven on a snow track.
