Conference calls have many benefits, but also have their dark side... For example: not knowing exactly what the person on the other side of the line is doing.

A study commissioned by Hilton Hotels Corporation shows that the “face to face” effect of meetings is irreplaceable. The study showed 35% of top executives admit to set the hands free and go to the bathroom during a conference, 81% tend to send messages during the call, 75% are having conversations in parallel and 20% even admit drinking an alcoholic beverage.
