A few days ago we spoke from this website about the optimistic expectations reflected in the annual forecast by American Express, Global Business Travel Forecast for the sector. Now is the International Congress and Convention Association, ICCA, announcing business travel has been one of the segments which better have led to the crisis and one that soon began to recover.
These are the conclusions reached by the ICCA after analyzing the results of a survey published on its website between professionals; 31% of the participants said they expected more assistance to events organized in 2010, and up to 53% expected increased assistance to their meetings, conferences and conventions for 2011.
That optimism is expected to be reflected in the Spanish market, one of the most competitive in the business travel sector. It must be remembered Spain was in the third place at the classification published by the ICCA in 2009.
