Professionals from 170 countries / regions have participated in FITUR 2007, an edition that has registered the best international participation in its history with 13,190 exhibitors. More than 151,700 professional participants – 1.3% more than the previous edition, visited the show.
One of the highlighted aspects has been “the increased international participationâ€Â, an achievement of one of the main aims of the show” according to the organisation. Some of the countries that were present for the first time were Armenia, Azerbaijan, Nigeria and Zimbabwe, which have contributed to 43% of the direct foreign participants in FITUR 2007.
IFEMA, FITUR’s organising entity, will return to call for the tourist industry in the next edition of the international tourism tradeshow, which will take place from 30th January to 3rd February 2008.
