Last 20th April the ExpoZaragoza’s opening show was presented, which will be the night show of the event, designed by the company Focus.

The show, under the artistic direction of Calixto Bieito, is titled “Iceberg. Poetic Visual Symphony”. The Ebro river, conceived as a key piece in the proposal, is the natural stage of the show, and presented as a fable with an attention focused on man’s responsibility in the current situation of the planet and the necessary implication to give a decisive turn to a panoramic future panorama that is foreseen as distressing.

A 20-metre iceberg will be installed in the Ebro river that will be opened and divided into several blocks. From them, a large human face with cybernetic appearance will emerge due to the destruction of the planet. Among the flames a teenager will appear, representing the hopeful singing that cause a great spout of water forming a glacier.
