The Federación de Ferias de Cataluña (FEFIC) and the Asociación Española de Marketing Ferial (AIMFE) have signed an agreement of collaboration in Barcelona, 14th of September 2004.

The agreement aims to establish a stable relationship between the two entities to improve the development of the tradeshows and events industry in the Catalonia. Both organisations consider that the agreement among the sectorial agents from the tradeshow industry can only derive more revenue for those that have repercussions on the quality of the meeting rooms, shows and events that members of the FEFIC will organise.

Both organisations recognised each other as reference organisation in its respective fields. In this sense, FEFIC ratifies AIMFE as the representative association in charge of managing the exhibiting services (design and setup companies, providers and auxiliary services companies) within the Spanish tradeshow industry. For AIMFE, it ratifies FEFIC as the representative organisation of the tradeshow instituitions and organisations in Catalonia (Instituciones y Organizaciones Feriales de Cataluña).

The present agreement has the general to create permanent collaboration channels between the two parties. For that, there are still no concrete measurements that it can take, this remains open to future amplifications within the agreement and understanding by both parties.
