Disfrutar teams up with Food & Mambo to launch its new CXC catering service

Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas, creators of Disfrutar - considered the best restaurant in the world by The World's Best 50 Restaurants on 6 June - are launching their new catering company CXC, supported by the event expertise of Food & Mambo, also from Barcelona. CXC is launching at an intense time for Barcelona on an international level with the Formula 1 and the America's Cup international sailing competition.

The idea of CXC is not so much to transfer to events the ‘Disfrutar experience’, impossible to reproduce materially outside the creative environment of the restaurant given the physical demands that characterise catering for hundreds of people at an event, but to transfer to these events the gastronomy that has led Disfrutar to be internationally considered the best restaurant in the world in 2024. In this sense, the alliance with Food & Mambo catering, which has extensive experience as an event caterer, allows them to develop their particular universe in a format, that of catering, with its own requirements and personality.

CXC made its debut at the recent inauguration of the new space of El Circuit de Barcelona, The Rooftop, and will be the caterer during the two and a half months of the America’s Cup of the historic Tinglados of the eastern quay of the Port of Barcelona – in whose restoration 7.3 million euros have been invested to recover its original early 20th century charm – which during the sailing competition will host various events, both private and public.

For its part, Food & Mambo brings more than 18 years of experience in which it has consolidated a very personal style. Since 2013 it has been the official caterer of the MotoGP VIP Village and is a regular at Formula 1 at the Circuit de Catalunya, the Cannes Lions Awards, Paris Air Show and Mobile Barcelona.
