Called the second edition of the Cook of the Year Competition

The second edition of the Cook of the Year Competition (CCA), that it calls to more than 60,000 cooks, has started up. Presided by Martin Berasategui (four Michelín stars), the objectives contest are to give prestige to the profession, award to the best chef of the country and discover new values.
The CCA is developed in 8 traveling semifinals that cover all Spanish geography and a great end in the international fair Alimentaria. Chefs of Navarre, the Rioja and Basque Country will be first in defending their gastronomical proposals the 14 of December in the Escuela de Hostelería de Gamarra, Vitoria.
The CCA is the first and only contest strictly directed to the professional cooks of Spain, according to the organisation. Jordi Cruz, awarded best cook of the year in the first edition and possessor of a Michelín star, will be the vice-president of the jury of the competition who organizes the Grupo Caterdata.
