In recognition of the huge growth potential of the meetings and incentives industry within China, the Beijing Municipal Bureau Of Tourism (BTA) has announced a strategic partnership with Reed Exhibitions to drive the growth of the industry through the China International Business and Incentive Travel Market (CBITM).

The CBITM, to be held from 11-13 July 2006 at the China World Exhibition Hall in Beijing solely focus on meetings, incentives and business travel. The event will showcase international and domestic suppliers to a visitor audience of qualified local Chinese and Asian buyers along with international meeting planners attending as part of the Hosted Buyer Programme. Organised by Reed Exhibitions China, the event receives the support of the specialist meetings industry team within Reed Travel Exhibitions in London led by Paul Kennedy, MBE, Group Exhibition Director.

BTA will be responsible for attracting the top government and association buyers in addition to organising local group participation to fulfil the show’s full potential. The partnership creates potential for the future growth of CBITM and signals a breakthrough which will redefine the meetings and incentive industry for the Chinese market.

Paul Kennedy comments: “CBITM already has the support of MPI, SITE and ICCA and will develop into an important international event and major part of our growing portfolio of meetings industry events worldwide.”
