The demand for special diets and vegan options at events is increasing, especially if there are international attendees, and caterers are getting ready. The latest example: Artigot presents a new line of vegan catering with alliances with brands such as HEURA. Here are some examples of their new plant based dishes.

We started exploring the plant based world 7 years ago, aware of the demand and interest in more sustainable food, and now with the launch of Aymat Vegan we want to offer a proposal that is beneficial for the planet and for people, while providing a quality gastronomic experience for both vegans and non-vegans. We have the backing of Artigot Catering, both for its experience and quality, and for having the capacity to host events for thousands of people”.

Increased demand for special diets

Perhaps in the future we will reach the point where Germans and vegan/vegetarian caterers will systematically propose themselves as the first choice at events, as the Germans from VOK DAMS do. What is clear is that the proposal of a vegan and 100% plant-based lifestyle is gaining more and more followers in Spain (look at the Be Veggie festival, which increased its attendance by 40%) and this is being reflected in the demand for menus at events.

Allergies are also in the spotlight, with nuts and gluten leading the way. In this sense we recommend you to be well informed before the D-day about all the allergies and wishes of the diners.

Partnerships with AUARA and HEURA

To launch Aymat Vegan, Artigot Catering has strategically partnered with AUARA and HEURA. With AUARA Social, they tell us that they eliminate the use of plastic at their events, replacing it with biodegradable disposable materials and 100% recyclable packaging. They also use HEURA (soy) products as an alternative to animal meat. If you don’t know the brand, we recently told you about the Heura Fest, a very powerful product sample action of the brand.

Examples of plant based dishes

On the menu (with a kitchen team headed by Mariano J. Martínez López) we find dishes such as garlic prawns, Vietnamese prawns with kimchi mayonnaise, pulled-beef brioche with pickled onion and hoisin sauce, mushroom pâté in blini with crispy capers, cochinita pibil taco, taco al gobernador… Aymat Vegan incorporates 100% vegetable ingredients, that is, the prawns or prawns are not of animal origin. When it comes to corners, the taco bar, the sushi bar and the tortilla bar stand out. They tell us that they have already launched them at an AEVEA event and at another in Espacio Montesa (Madrid). In general, they are aimed at companies that are committed to sustainability, integrating it into their corporate values and strategies.
