The General Secretary of Tourism, Raimon Martínez Fraile, and the President of the Spain Convention Bureau, Francisco Candela, have signed the Annual Joint Action Plan that defines the strategies in 2005 to encourage both national and international meetings and incentives.

The 2005 Plan includes the incorporation of familiarisation trips to Spain for journalists from European markets to promote the diffusion and knowledge of the Spanish offer in this field, comprising of 36 cities. The plan also includes the holding of direct sessions for meetings in different markets. In the same line of promotion, the Spain Convention Bureau will be present at international trade fairs such as EIBTM, ITME or BTC.

Another important bet is to increase the possibilities of on-line content on meetings and incentives in the Turespaña and Spain Convention Bureau web pages, the latter with new editions in German and French.

The plan also includes the publishing of an informative magazine and a video-DVD to promote Spain both as a destination for incentive trips and for congresses, conventions and as well as training seminars on diverse themes, such as on-line marketing and issuing markets.
