What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
In a market that often resembles the far west, comes an example of development of good practices. The newly constituted Spanish Associated Event Agencies -AEVEA has presented its code of ethics, unanimously ratified by the founding agencies of the association. A code of this type has a clear challenge: to become reality, to be a real commitment, and to change the sector. So be it!

The ethical and good practice code, which must be signed by all agencies who wish to join AEVEA proposes “a role model for good governance based on justice and fairness in relationships according to the rules, transparency in the relationship with all stakeholders, fair competition, commitment to excellence and quality of work, safety and responsibility to the environment and people development “.

According to Dario Regattieri, president of AEVEA, “it is an unprecedented event that most agencies that organize events in Spain have ratified and approved one way to proceed and operate. It Implies a guarantee of quality for both customers and for the Administration and other economic sectors.”

The code is the cornerstone on which will pivot the work of the association and that will position the event industry as an important sector of the economy, not only for its economic size, which influences many players (decoration, logistics , catering, new technologies…), but also for its ethical and transparent behavior while stimulating creativity and innovation.

AEVEA is a organization representative of event agencies, with a vocation to work with and for our industry. Its aim is that the events sector is recognized for its economic importance, seriousness and ability to communicate directly, in a strategic way.

The code can be seen in http://www.aevea.es/codigo-etico/ (in Spanish)
