The surprise of the 1,400 attendees began with the invitation that had replaced the ceremonial title of “Gala XXVII of the Asociación de Empresarios de Hostelería de Cantabria” by a more powerful “The Night” accompanied by the moon as a visual element. The idea for the gala was to be modern and cool, “evoking more Ibiza than a traditional gala,” said Javier Robredo of Innevento, to rejuvenate the assistance, convey the dynamism of the association, and increase the impact on media.
The Exhibition Centre of Santander had been completely transformed with large thread curtains hanging from the ceilings and mobile lighting. The traditional banquet tables were changed to curved benches or chairs of different heights. Podiums, candles, lighted inflatables, were just to create a very cool environment.
Following this visual surprise entrance, a didgeridoo (the giant wooden flute) captured the attention of attendees, and a soprano hung from the ceiling began to sing Memories, like the gala opening. The scenario was a very relaxed bar-club. A giant screen LED stage was set at the background. The official speeches were followed by a series of artistic brushstrokes that gave rhythm to the event.
