The training sessions are as always one of the strengths of the show. The EIBTM educational program will include sessions on hot topics such as the rapidly changing events registration system and will feature some of the protagonists of the freshest ideas that are coming to the sector. But the most special is the commiment to innovation that goes far beyond the technological innovations, and increasingly incorporates the disciplines of psychology and neuromarketing to give soul to our events.
Too much technology?
Bo Krüger , Meeting Designer in Moving Minds advocates a return to the origins in her ´ provocative ´ session on ´Is Technology Taking Over Our Meetings ? ´ in which he advocates for not using technology when instead of adding, it subtracts. Stefania Conti – Vecchi , founder and ceo of Eventagist , will analyze the most useful apps for events.
In addition , part of the program will include ´ mini sessions ´ within the Innovation Zone, a space which opens this year. Rosa Garriga , Project Manager of the Innovation Zone EIBTM , told us that here we will find ” from sensory language sessions to social media” , in addition to the latest trends in the industry.
Fresh ideas coming from the North
In general, the term ´fresh´ coming from the frigid Scandinavian lands will be approaching the world of design meeting. Other sessions will include ´Meeting Formats: How to Shape Change at Low Cost in Your Meeting and Events´, Producing a Hybrid Meeting: Coping with Schism in Your Meetings´ and´ Presentation Techniques: Styles, techiques, Equipment. ´The Corporate Knowledge Programme is sponsored by London & Partners and presented by Eric De Groot, co-author of Into the heart of Meetings.´
´Piazzas´ of networking
Without doubt one of the great innovations of this year is intelligent space redistribution . Two ´piazzas´, an open space in the heart of the fair and genuine hubs for networking, as well as new areas for sponsoring products in LiveWalls .
It is has been created a plan that facilitates the flow of public to reach every corner of the fair, with two central squares dedicated to networking. At one of the two squares where the the European stands will be located, Barcelona tapas will be served and a selection of traditional Catalan food to highlight the integration of the fair in the city.
On the other hand, it has been chosen to relax the visitor´s entrance to the fair, reducing access to a single entry , and modifying the input space with more points of information and lounge area . It also introduces new meeting points as The Hologram Genius Zone, The Sustainable Genius Zone, The Event Genius Zone and The Innovation Zone.
