The catering Food&Mambo takes part in the trade show Bread&Butter in Barcelona
It´s a very well known fact that a good event uses a variety of resources to communicate: decoration, music, venue, entertainment, etc. But a recent trend is the development of catering as a communication tool in events. And just like anything in an event, catering has an obligation to innovate and can use many resources for that. Here are a few keys on how to use catering to strengthen the message.

Resource 1: Food shapes
The shape and size of meals served can help communicate the goal of the event.

Resource 2: Communicative waiters
They are the human component of catering. They have direct contact with the audience, and obviously if you are looking for an atmosphere for communication, they have a crucial role.

Resource 3: Thematization
Catering can also use thematization as a denominator of its decoration, plates name, waiters, etc.  

Resource 4: Names of the dishes
The easy solution to communicate!: give dishes names related to the company, the industry or the purpose of the event. Everything helps to communicate, even the menu!  

Resource 5: The expression of the flavour
Sweet or bitter … flavours communicates feelings or positions. 

Resource 6: Addressing the five senses
The food in itself involves several senses: sight, smell and of course the taste.  

Resource 7: Tableware
Is not used often, but its communication power is very strong.
