What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
On Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 we have been following the fascinating debate within the Second International Conference on Asian Tourism organized by Casa Asia in Barcelona.

All speakers have agreed without exception that there are three key problems that hinder and discourage the flow to Europe, and Spain in particular:

1) The difficulty of obtaining a tourist visa. Antonio de la Morena appealed to the Brussels authorities have the competence, facilitation for obtaining and extending in time, at least 1 year´s validity. Joan Mesquida estimated that it lost 500 million euros a year in the EU on the issue of visas.

2) In Europe there is an average of 50 international connections to Asia, but in Spain? It is generating an ´unmet need´: now come from China costs 18 hours, which clearly is also an obstacle when it comes to short trips, 8 days on average.

3) The language. Is the low level of Middle English in Spain is seen as an obstacle, and the ignorance of the culture and differentiation between countries and others.
