Do you know 0.5% of Spanish GDP is related to horse riding? The horseriding world is a sizeable market, and a support for active branding and relationship building... but also an activity that many families appreciate and practice. Aimed at these two dimensions, the Madrid Horse Week took place at IFEMA, combining a fair, activities and a jump test.

An event to promote the whole world of horseriding

Beyond the sporting aspect and the commercial side, MHW is also more generally an event to promote horse riding, as confirmed its CEO Pablo Márquez. It is in fact one of the reasons why it takes place in IFEMA (the other one being that the world championship trials must take place indoor). “We wanted it to be a very affordable popular, democratic event for the people of Madrid, and IFEMA allowed us this proximity”. In fact, IFEMA associated with the event, ensuring its ticketing.

Another consequence of this approach: Ticket prices were very reasonably priced, starting at 10 euros, something unthinkable in a equestrian club. And the activities included many animations and tests for children, making the MHW a family event.

Various events in one

The main novelty of this second edition, is the fact that for the first time takes place in Madrid the World Cup TM Jumping Longines, test jumping world championship. On this basis which gives the game a considerable prestige, the event included several areas and activities, forming a big “meeting point for professionals, amateurs and the general public to enjoy the universe around the horse”.
