In your introduction, you say our industry has changed. Is it more “recession-proof” than before? Are events and meeting more necessary?
Yes, our industry is far better equipped to ride the storm of this recession. Since the 1992´s, meetings and events have become a far more accepted feature of working life, as companies have come to understand the power of face-to-face events. Our industry is more professionalized, with better education and training, better data and statistics that make it easier to demonstrate the value of meetings and events.
