According to Aggarwal during his speech at Cvent CONNECT Europe, “the events industry is not only recovering, it is evolving and transforming the way we work, connect and engage.” The Cvent CEO concluded his speech with a presentation of the three trends and market dynamics driving the industry’s growth: innovation, resilience and human connection.
Artificial Intelligence
According to Aggarwal, rapid advances in AI are transforming the event landscape, enabling smarter, more efficient planning and providing data-driven insights that enhance the attendee experience. “We believe planners, marketers and hoteliers should be able to leverage AI to focus on what matters most: creating impactful moments,” says the Cvent CEO.
Prioritizing value and impact
Amid economic pressures, organizations are increasingly prioritizing spending with a clear and measurable ROI. During Cvent CONNECT Europe, Aggarwal noted that “there is nothing that delivers direct business impact better than events.” Events remain essential for engaging customers, building relationships and increasing revenue. “Effective events deliver value not just on the days of the event, but throughout the customer journey.”
Resurgence of the experience economy
As hybrid work changes how and why people attend events and travel, the demand for meaningful face-to-face experiences, both professionally and personally, increases. “The experience economy is here to stay,” says Aggarwal. “Face-to-face events are vital for building connections and community.”
According to Aggarwal, these three trends signal a new era in which technology, efficiency and experiential impact are critical to the success of events.
