The newcomers come mainly from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, North America, the Caribbean and Europe. This includes Birmingham and the West Midlands from the UK. In the Asia region, China’s capital Beijing and Uzbekistan’s first exhibitor Inter MICE Asia will make their first appearance, while Sri Lanka will return for the first time since 2019. With its own stand will be Toronto, Canada’s most populous city, while Mauritius flies the flag for East Africa. From the Middle East, the Emirate of Ajman, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, is attending for the first time, while the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean is preparing for a long-awaited return after a five-year absence.
Not only new destinations, but also Nobu Hotel Shoreditch London and Japanese luxury hotel Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka will be making the most of IBTM World’s new Hotel Pavilion, a dedicated space for independent and small group hotels to showcase their offerings. Also joining the 2024 hotel line-up is Ayana Hospitality, a chain of luxury hotels and resorts from Indonesia. Greek chain Civitel Hotels and Resorts and Italy’s JADA Hotels Collection will be presenting to visitors for the first time, as will OKU Hotels, a group of luxury hotels spread across the Mediterranean.
While many new exhibitors are preparing to launch their offerings at IBTM World, many existing exhibitors are expanding their presence at the 2024 edition. Bruges almost triples the stand space it had in 2023. Slovenia and Serbia are increasing their stands by 25% and 22% respectively, while Antwerp will return with its largest ever representation, increasing its standby 23% following the success of last year’s show.
