Grupo eventoplus has consolidated its activities in 2007 with its continual international expansion and strengthening its role in researching and analysing the Spanish event market. The main activities and achievements of Grupo eventoplus in 2007 are as follow:
New look of eventoplus.com: in September 2007, the leading event portal in Spain with more than 200,000 monthly visits, changed its image and extended its services. Besides the usual content like the e-newsletter and the selection of ideas and tips, the new eventoplus.com offers new content such as new sections of articles, cases, events, White Papers, videos… And the portal continues to grow with more than 1,500 suppliers in the most complete directory.
Consolidation of the Premios eventoplus: the second edition held in July 2007 reinforced the prestige of the awards. 158 candidates and a gala that brought together over 800 professionals in the Palacio de Deportes in Madrid.
e – day, or event day for the sector, was held on the same day as Premios Eventoplus award presentation. The Group organised a day dedicated to the inspiration and to professional the sector. More than 1,500 professionals attended the conferences and visited the exhibition area with original products for events. It was a great success and offered a new format to give inspiration and training for the sector.
Eventoplus White Papers. Grupo eventoplus has always been dedicated to inform and document the sector. It has published two White Papers that provide figures and analysis of the event market: a market that moves 5 billion Euros has to be given high importance.
EIBTM Show Daily. The largest trade show of the sector has chosen Grupo eventoplus to manage and publish its Show Daily, the official newspaper distributed over the three days of trade show to more than 11,000 attendees. The Group has given the Show Daily a more dynamic format, a new design and a different content structure that included a poll and more participation of the public present. Another recognition of the editorial quality of the Group.
Portugal: new destination. The Group has added one more presence in its international expansion by opening a new market in Portugal. Since September 2007, eventoplus.com offers the possibility to look for suppliers in the main Portuguese regions.
The international presence of Grupo Eventoplus has also increased thanks to the Media Partner agreements that it has established with the main European trade shows such as BTC in Italy and ExpoEventos in Portugal, adding to the already existing agreements (EIBTM, IMEX, Heavent Expo …). In addition, the Group also participate in the Jury of the European (EuBEA) and French awards (Heavent).
Training and conferences: The Group has given its 16th edition of its courses, training more than 90 professionals in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia. In addition, the Group also give conferences in international event such in GIBTM (Abu Dhabi), The Special Event Show (Los Angeles), Expoeventos (Lisbon) and EIBTM (Barcelona). It has the most qualified event expert-speakers in Spain.
eventos Magazinehas obtained its OJD certification on its 6,000 subscriptions. It has also widen its content to include those of neighbouring markets, thanks to an agreement with leading publications in France (L’Evenementiel) and Italy (E20). Readers of these magazine also get to read a selection of content from eventos Magazine about the Spanish event market.
