The Spain Convention Bureau (SCB) will intensify its promotion of Spain as a congress destination to foreign markets and has created a work group formed by 9 cities: Gijon, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Seville, Madrid, Cuenca, Valencia, Valladolid and Santiago de Compostela.

In addition, the SCB will work together with Turespaña to prepare a measurement report on the meeting tourism in Spain that will help to design new strategies for promotion and commercialisation of the destinations.

Two new members have joined the entity: Alcala de Henares and Almeria, increasing the number of members to 43.
