The main European tourist cities will meet from 7 to 9th March in Barcelona for the European Cities Marketing association (ECM) working sessions. 90 urban destinations are getting together in the AB Skiper Hotel of the Catalan capital with a program that combines workshops, presentations and seminars.

Barcelona Turisme General Manager, Pere Duran, organises the meeting with the ECM, and will be presenting on “How Barcelona was turned into a tourist destination” on Friday at 0915 hours and will be open for all communication media.

The ECM, which joins 130 cities and conventions bureaux, is the international collaboration network that congregates the urban tourism destinations. Since last January, it aglutinates in one entity what were the European Cities Tourism and the EFCT, the institution for meeting tourism. This event in Barcelona is the first meeting of this new association.
