The Malaga Exhibition and Congress Centre surpassed their expectations in 2005, and doubled the number of global participants and average participation per event.
The total number of attendants during 2005 increased 114%, and the average of participation per event grew 158%, from 43,615 in 2004 to 93,375 participants in 2005. The centre held 157 events which is a 13% increase in relation to 2004.
In the exhibition sector, the centre held a total of 19 exhibitions in 2005, five more than in 2004. In 2005, the number of exhibitors was of 2,099, 59% more than in 2004, and received 65,713 professional visitors, a 56% increase in relation to 2004 (42,000 visitors).
